Why would someone download the Servlet Service Framework as a zip file?  Wouldn't they be more likely to add a dependency to their pom and let Maven get the latest version?

I think the reasons why you might download the zip should be mentioned so as not to worry new users who have been told SSF is the 'right' way to build Coccon apps.
