can't start tomcat

I am having trouble starting tomcat. When I run the 'tomcat.sh start'
command, I get the following:

    Usage: java org.apache.tomcat.startup.Tomcat {options}
    Options are:
        -config file (or -f file)
        -help (or help)
        -home dir (or -h dir)
        -stop

I've checked config files, paths, environment variables, and no luck. Can
someone tell me what I'm missing?

Thanks,

Jeremy
