importing jcr:root

Hello

I have a system view export for jcr:root node. Is there some way to import it 
and merge.replace current jcr:root node? I tried to assign mix:referenceable 
to jcr:root and to use replace existing import method but I am 
getting "javax.jcr.RepositoryException: root node cannot be replaced". 

There was some discussion about it in the past 
(http://markmail.org/message/6lm5lheptdansxgx) but I don't see the resolution 
of that discussion there.
