[jira] [Commented] (CB-4910) Request to reorganise configuration
files

Jan Becicka commented on CB-4910:
---------------------------------
Please do such changes carefully and if possible backward compatible. For me (developer working on cordova support in the NetBeans IDE) is quite hard to follow such changes. I thought, that cordova file structure is defined here https://github.com/apache/cordova-cli.
Since there is no API (or I don't know about any) this file structure is hard coded in NetBeans. If you start moving files around it will break NetBeans. I know, that this is my problem, I just want to ask you to do such changes carefully.

> What would be useful for future versions of Cordova projects built with the cordova-cli is:
> 1.) Rename ".cordova" folder to simply "cordova" this means hosting projects on github will more that likely include the cordova directory
> 2.) Move the config.xml file from the www diretory into the cordova directory allowing build steps / tasks / tools to replace the contents of www without breaking the build
