Go to the iOS Simulator's menu bar and change the zoom level from 50% to 100%.

> **Expected results:**
> I would like to create a Phonegap application, using the http://www.phonegap.com/start/ guide. I need to create it for retina display that uses the 640x960px resolution.
> **Actual Results:**
> Both non-retina and retina simulators present a resolution 320px. Although the menu interfaces have different resolutions the help Phonegap example file shows in low resolution. See following screenshot
> iPhone non-retina 320px width
> ![iPhone non-retina](http://www.adharasilver.com/iPhone.png)
> iPhone Retina 320px width
> ![iPhone Retina](http://www.adharasilver.com/iPhone%20Retina.png)
> iPad at 768px width
> ![iPad](http://www.adharasilver.com/iPad.png)
> Also noticed that when launching the retina simulator the default splash screen says retina and on the non-retina the splashscreen says non retina. Which is correct behavior
> **How to reproduce**
> - Borrow a friends mac who has OSX Lion
> - Download Phonegap 1.1 & Xcode 4.2 and iOS5 sdk for lion
> - Follow steps in [Phonegap guide](http://www.phonegap.com/start/) EXACTLY < don't mess with anything other than what the guide says
> - See a Hey it's Phonegap message on all 3 simulators
> - Notice that both retina and non-retina resolutions are identical
> - Go to irc channel for support
> - After trying to solve this problem on your own post a bug report on github
> Also I'm not ready yet to purchase the Apple developer license for 99 dollars just to test Phonegap (I'm usually developing for android)
