Adding own blobstore provider to jclouds
Hi!
I currently think about adding an own provider (some custom blobstore
backend)
to jclouds. My plan is to transparently use other blobstores, as well as my
own one via jclouds.
Unfortunately i did not find (much) information regarding "adding" new
providers to
jclouds.
Is there some some mechanism/api to "register" new classes (which implement
BlobStore, in my case) to jclouds? Or should i fork/branch jclouds
itself and add my
own provider to it ?
If somebody could give me some hints, i'd really appreciate that.
cheers,
Matthias

Hi Matthias
Your best bet for adding a new cloud provider is to copy the code from
an existing one and modify as appropriate (see e.g. [1] for a recent
discussion around the same question). There is also a skeletons
directory [2] but currently not an example for blobstores.
If you're going to be building an HTTP-based API, S3 or Atmos might be
good ones to look at. Otherwise, the filesystem [3] API (which is also
quite simple) should serve as a good guide.
Of course, questions here are very welcome. Or hop on to #jclouds on IRC!
