OutOfMemoryError exceptions indicate that the mentioned resource pool is not large enough and must be increased. In this case, the mentioned resource is the Java heap. You need to configure Solr with a larger Java heap. The "bin/solr" script that starts Solr 5.0 and later defaults to a heap size of 512MB, which is very small. Almost all Solr users will need to increase this value to accommodate production index sizes.
