[jira] [Commented] (ZEST-24) Release 2.1
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ZEST-24?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14624627#comment-14624627 ]
Niclas Hedhman commented on ZEST-24:
------------------------------------
Thanks for grabbing this...
In light of all things flying around, here are my thoughts;
* Prioritize a release, primarily for publicity reasons.
* I have no features that I insist on pushing into 2.1, since I already
depend on my own branch which has some Java8 in it already (the Restlet
stack).
* Only outright bugs, documentation and tidying up should be done before
release.
* Testing of the built SDK, instead of depending on local Maven
repository and such.
So, Paul, perhaps a RC1 could be pushed out real soon, like this week, so
at least I can do some testing of the SDK "form" while all the smaller
remainders are tackled? I am hoping you have the stamina to once again be
release manager... ;-)
Cheers
Niclas

Yeah, stamina is almost full!
Will need some power ups in Budapest tough, beers will do :)
About remaining bugs, here are the currently open issues:
- ZEST-19 No feedback from Parisinos yet, will ping him
- ZEST-31 Don't know how to fix this without a complete ElasticSearch
Index/Query rewrite. I propose to postpone this to 3.0.
- ZEST-39 Any reproductible test Niclas?
- ZEST-43 Not pretty, but not a bug either. Can be postponed IMO.
See http://s.apache.org/SmW
Once we have stated on theses four I'll try to cut a first RC.
Cheers
/Paul
