[jira] Created: (INFRA-2125) Reject posts to
issues@maven.apache.org by users
Reject posts to issues@maven.apache.org by users
------------------------------------------------
Key: INFRA-2125
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-2125
Project: Infrastructure
Issue Type: Wish
Security Level: public (Regular issues)
Components: Mailing Lists
Reporter: Benjamin Bentmann
Priority: Minor
We occasionally find users that post or reply directly to our notification list for JIRA. So I would like to ask whether it would be possible to automatically reject those mails, i.e. mails not originating from jira@codehaus.org, with an error mail that suggests
a) to either post to users@maven.apache.org for help or
b) to login into JIRA and to create an issue or comment there
See also our dev mail thread [Prevent posts to issues@|http://markmail.org/thread/a5ztnl72mm4xgpo2].

<gmcdonald> Not really possible, reply-to is already set to dev list, better to train folks to post there
