Argh. Apparently that was my fault - I have a sandbox scaleout project, but the change to the main pom is supposed to be in a separate changelist. Somehow I managed to check it in. That is what I get for having a dozen unfinished side projects ...
I have reverted the main pom back to its previous version.

I appreciate your feedback.
I look forward to this patch to be applied, mostly because I would like to work on the "dependency hell", fix a lot of deprecation issues and updating, as much as possible to the latest libraries and all these issues are dependent one upon the other.

Your 475 shouldn't break anything in my current setup.
I like your 475 update ... I think that it is just a matter of time before somebody has the time to test it and apply the patch.
I think that the lack of primary version declarations stems from a (somewhat recent) time when different modules had different version needs, and different 3rd parties had different version requirements. 4.0 was a huge improvement - a bunch of people from the community did a great job pulling ctakes up from dependency hell. There is always more to be done to keep it above ground, and 475 should help.
