Proposals to update our website to use asciidoctor (ISIS-1133)

Hi folks,

I've just created a ticket [1] proposing that we migrate our website to run
under asciidoctor.

I'm going to do some playing around with this, but any comments/experience
of these technologies mentioned would be most welcome.

Hi Mike,

We already use Markdown for the Isis website, but I wasn't aware of
gitboks, so thanks for that.

Having looked at Asciidoc for the last couple of days, I think it has a
better feature set, and always was designed from the get-go to be a simpler
way of doing DocBook.

Will keep y'all posted.

Hi Dan,

Have you looked at MarkDown and GitBooks? I worked with these on the LJC / AdoptOpenJDK project and they seem to tick all the boxes in a simpler way.
