Spam control in the Wiki

The "new user page" spam is getting out of hand in the wiki. A superuser
can do this however:
http://wiki.apache.org/cordova/HelpOnSpam

Any other better way? Right now I suppose the only way is to delete each
page manually. Already there have been "re-creations" of a deleted page by
a spam user. Not sure how to ban/delete a user...

Yeah, I think we all owe Shaz a preferred beverage of his choice for this.

See below for a list of all accounts who've made changes to the wiki.
I grepped the list from the commits@ archive. Note that the list also
contains past spammers, so it's probably best to just pick those
people who you know or who explicitly reply here.

Done. As a general rule, I'm adding all committers in the AdminGroup,
non-committers in the ContributorsGroup. Unfortunately I can't find a full
list of people signed up to the wiki (yet) so I can bulk add, so you'll
have to still post here with your wiki username for access... (which kinda
authenticates you as well I suppose)

Ok, I've added

to the AdminGroup, please test whether you can edit.

For the others, please reply with your wiki usernames so I can add you...

I don't have access either.

Perhaps there was a typo when infra added your account to the
AdminGroup? Recheck to verify that you're logged in when accessing
http://wiki.apache.org/cordova/AdminGroup (you should see
ShazronAbdullah at the top of the page), and reopen INFRA-6131 if it
still doesn't work.

So the issue has been resolved:
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-6131

But there is still a problem - I don't have access to these pages to add
people:
- http://wiki.apache.org/cordova/AdminGroup

Thus, I think no one can edit/add any pages to the wiki at the moment.

I assume Jukka will have to add at least one of us to get the ball rolling?

Thanks Jukka,
I can file the issue, following the template. I suppose I can request to
set myself as the initial admin as well.

Instead of blacklisting users or spammy content, we could switch to
explicitly whitelisting users who request access to the wiki. See:

    http://wiki.apache.org/general/OurWikiFarm#per_wiki_access_control_-_tighten_your_wiki_just_a_little.2C_benefit_just_a_lot

We've done that in a few other projects I'm involved in, and have
managed to eliminate all wiki spam with just a reasonably minor entry
barrier to new contributors.
