   Planning on modifying the Coordinator to expose a metrics endpoint. This will be useful for the ITs and also for configuring a Horizontal Pod Scaler in k8s. I'm looking at implementing a simple endpoint that returns a JSON blob that can be parsed by https://github.com/zalando-incubator/kube-metrics-adapter which is a k8s supported custom metrics adapter (see https://github.com/kubernetes/metrics/blob/master/IMPLEMENTATIONS.md#custom-metrics-api)
