   Potential contributors to the Go SDK. But I had a good chat with @jrmccluskey and it seems that updating the Beam website and/or wiki seems the appropriate place for the kinds of things I put here.
   
   What started this off was I tried to follow the README to guide me to contribute and found some gotchas along the way that I thought might help other future contributors.
