[release plugin]: deprecation warnings

[WARNING] configuration key 'resource.loader' has been deprecated in
favor of 'resource.loaders'
[WARNING] configuration key 'classpath.resource.loader.class' has been
deprecated in favor of 'resource.loader.classpath.class'
[WARNING] configuration key 'resource.loader' has been deprecated in
favor of 'resource.loaders'
[WARNING] configuration key 'classpath.resource.loader.class' has been
deprecated in favor of 'resource.loader.classpath.class'

I'm seeing the above warnings when using the release plugin.
There are strings in the code that match these keys.
Is it safe to rename the keys, or might the older key names still be needed?
