ANT does not seem closing JAR files correctly.
Just got "java.io.EOFException: Unexpected end of ZLIB input stream"
after updating to the latest ANT. Google suggests that JAR output stream
was not closed or flushed correctly.

I have produced a minimal test case - when [one of] AES key (16 bytes
long) is included twice, it breaks the zip. I really may not send it to
anybody.

If you can find a way to reproduce the bug with something simpler,
that'd be the prefered solution. Otherwise you can send all things
I'd need to reproduce the problem to me directly.

So something was special in my case... I can try to reproduce the jar.
There are many copyrighted files involved. Should I sent the jar to you?

I only recall a bug report where having the same file twice inside the
same archive breaks Java WebStart, the archive was technically valid.
Do you have the bug number? Maybe you are talking about a different
report than me.

I completely agree with you and I don't think Ant does:
[bodewig@bodewig tmp]$ cat zip.xml
<project>
<zip destfile="test.zip">
<fileset dir="." includes="zip.xml"/>
<fileset dir="." includes="zip.xml"/>
</zip>
</project>
[bodewig@bodewig tmp]$ ant -f zip.xml
Buildfile: zip.xml
[zip] Building zip: /tmp/test.zip
BUILD SUCCESSFUL
Total time: 2 seconds
[bodewig@bodewig tmp]$ zip -Tv test.zip
test.zip: found a preamble of 119 bytes
Archive: test.zip
testing: zip.xml OK
testing: zip.xml OK
No errors detected in compressed data of test.zip.
test of test.zip OK

After some research I found that I had the same file twice in a JAR (two
inner filesets were referencing the same file - this is an interesting
situation too - fileset joining would behave better). There is a bug
already that inclusion of the same file breaks ANT. So I fixed my build
by setting two <presetdef>s to set duplication attribute (can we stop
the warning about overriding task definitions in this situation?). This
still seems a bug - ANT should not produce broken archives in this
situation.

Do you get this on all archives? Is there an easy way to reproduce
it?

Just found a broken Jar file. "zip -Tf" produced the following output:
zip warning: local and central headers differ for (null)
zip warning: offset 6--local = ed, central = aa
zip warning: offset 7--local = 8b, central = 6e
zip warning: offset 8--local = 10, central = 9b
zip error: Zip file structure invalid
