Exposed WebDAV share (Win2000/XP network share)

Hopefully this is a simple question and answer. If a repository/store
is exposed and mounted as a network share, can someone open a Word
document from that share, modify it, and then save the result back to
the repository/store?

;-) the 'yup' was perhaps a bit brief. Slide is a fully compliant WebDAV
server, that means it functions as a WebDAV server and can be created in a
system as a "Web Folder" that then can be accessed by any application.

Some applications like Word are WebDAV capable on their own and you can
search, open and edit and save entirely within Word to any resource in Slide
you want.

There are products out there that you can get that will "Mount" a WebDAV
server path as a drive which then acts like any other drive.

So, "yup".
