Description:
Normally, for a Remote application, Webstart takes a lot of time to check for version updates even though there are no updates.
I have created a patch which will allow Webstart to check for version updates on the local host instead of connecting to the Remote application.
It uses the Maven Webstart plugin which has a feature to install the Remote application locally.
