[users@httpd] Compiling mod_ssl shared or static in 2.0.54?

I know there used to be some information that mod_ssl should be compiled
statically rather than dynamically.

Is there still such a recommendation for 2.0.54?

Solaris 2.8+
GCC 3.3.4
