[jira] [Commented] (SOLR-11933) DIH gui shouldn't have "clean" be checked by default

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-11933?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=16442504#comment-16442504 ]

Shawn Heisey commented on SOLR-11933:
-------------------------------------

See SOLR-9613.

I think the default of the 'clean' checkbox in the UI should change depending on the type of import selected. This is what happens when using the API directly and the clean parameter is not present.

If full-import is selected, it should be on, if delta-import is selected, it should be off. (with the option for the user to change the setting, of course)

> The DIH webapp by default has the "clean" checkbox enabled.   Clean is very dangerous because you delete all the data first, and then load the data.   Making this the default choice is bad UX.
