Robert Joseph Evans updated STORM-3026:
---------------------------------------
Summary: Upgrade ZK instance for security (was: Upgrade live ZK instance for security)

> Upgrade ZK instance for security
> --------------------------------
>
> Key: STORM-3026
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/STORM-3026
> Project: Apache Storm
> Issue Type: New Feature
> Components: storm-core
> Affects Versions: 1.0.0, 2.0.0
> Reporter: Robert Joseph Evans
> Assignee: Robert Joseph Evans
> Priority: Major
>
> It would be great to have the ability to move an existing cluster with it's ZK from insecure to secure without wiping everything clean.  This does not allow for a rolling upgrade because the running topologies will not have the credentials that they need, but you don't need to do the manual step of deleting the root ZK node.
