@anuengineer After rebasing to trunk, I see the problem is bigger than I originally presumed. The dependency convergence issue is now affecting multiple modules in hadoop, yarn, mr.
I will spend some more time on this to see what is the best way to fix it. Right now, a no-brainer approach is to update the version across all modules, however, I am sure if will also lead to lot of related code changes where the methods may have changes in new version.
