Turbine and Oracle Internet Application Server

I have to do some research on running Turbine over
Oracle iAS 9i. I have conflicting reports about the
level of J2EE support in this product:

* The standard installation comes with Apache 1.3.12
and JServ 1.1. Should Turbine (the current HEAD
  revision) run on this setup?

* I have documentation from Oracle stating this:

    JavaServer Pages (JSP) (1.1)
Oracle9iAS supports JSP 1.1 in OracleJVM and most
of JSP 1.1 functionality in Apache-JServ (JDK JVM).

    Servlets (2.2)
Oracle9iAS supports Servlets 2.2 in OracleJVM and
Servlets 2.0 in Apache-JServ (JDK JVM).

Anybody has any idea what this means? What is OracleJVM?
Does it in some way replace JServ? Is servlets 2.0
  enough to run Turbine?

* Has anybody had any experience running this setup?

Thanks,

You are nuts. :-)

As a Servlet, I doubt it any longer. I believe Turbine Servlet now pretty
much requires 2.1.

There is no JSP functionality in JServ. JSP in JServ is an Oracle hack.

That doesn't make any sense.

They wrote their own JVM.

Not as a Servlet.

If I were you, I would push back on your client about running that type of
setup. I have yet to hear a single positive comment about OAS and the fact
that Oracle bases their product on top of a dead product (JServ) is a bit
silly don't you think?
