0.8 release: latest status

Hey Guys,

OK, I pushed off all issues in JIRA and have been frantically trying to fix
the ones that I was interested in. We're down to 1 issue left, TIKA-462,
Ken's issue to push Boilerpipe to Maven Central. Once that goes through, and
once I get a little help from Jukka on excluding tests based on JDK version
(or better yet on retrotranslating jars from 1.6 to 1.5!), we should be
ready to go and I can cut an RC...hopefully this week in time for ApacheCon
(where I'll be presenting on Tika too!)

Cheers,
Chris

Hey Guys,

I'm just going to call the VOTE anyways right now. That way, if it passes, we'll just leave 0.8 on central as is.

Stand by...

Cheers,
Chris

Hi Guys,

FYI. Sorry I botched the RC and accidentally already pushed to Central. Please don't update your deps to that JAR. I've filed https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-3174 to remedy this. Once that issue is resolved, I'll re stage the m2 repo, and then call a VOTE. I've already got the email typed.

Cheers,
Chris
