What's the plan for the first release?
Hi,
Now that the repository and website are set, what's your plan for the
first release? I can see the development continuing every week but no
one has yet to discussed this topic.
It seems that Fury tries to provide multilingual bindings which can be
a non-trivial task to be done within its first release. In addition,
most bindings are yet to be ready for use.
OpenDAL provides an example for excluding bindings that are under
development [1].
But the important part is that we can start to discuss how we manage
to make an Apache release.

Hi tison,
Thanks for bringing this topic up, I think we can start to make our first release in February. From my opinion, there are something which may need be finished before we release our first version:
[ ] Standardizing our java and cross language spec in next weeks
[ ] Ensure all licenses issues has been addressed, most are addressed, but we may need a double check and make some minor changes.
[ ] Decide which binding we provide in our first release. Currently Fury provide release for java/python/golang/javascript. Some are still under development. We may need to decide whether we provide releases only for some these languages.
[ ] Set up digital signature and hashes
[ ] Following https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/INCUBATOR/Incubator+Release+Checklist for other steps checks.
