Need some info on Physical Network

I have been using  cloudstack actively for few months, recently saw your
latest release 3.0.2 and was itching to try it out. But I unable to make
out what does "Physical Network" mean in Cloudstack, I am pretty much
familiar with network name labels.

Can someone throw shed some light on how Physical networks and Network Name
labels are related?

 I couldn't find any design docs for this on Wiki.
