[jira] Commented: (OPENEJB-641) doc: embedding-openejb.html

David Blevins commented on OPENEJB-641:
---------------------------------------

Mostly up to date. I'm not sure if the mentioned cheat of "java:openejb/ejb/my/bean/Foo" is valid anymore.

The text at the top is a bit chatty. Also every code example is a complete class, it would be good for the very first code block to just show the embedding code -- otherwise it looks like more code is required to embed.

The information on how to set the openejb.home in "Set the openejb.home variable" is accurate, but the why is no longer accurate. You do not need to set an openejb.home (or openejb.base).

The section on the openejb.conf should likely be removed. Instead should be the latest information on how openejb searches the classpath for applications would be good (openejb.deployments.classpath.include/exclude).

It might be good to note that security and transactions do work in embedded mode. In prior releases security did not work.
