Request for Guidance on Upgrading Customized Apache OFBiz 16 to 18.12.12

Dear Apache OFBiz Team,

Hope this email finds you well.

We have been using *Apache OFBiz* since version *16*, where we are
very satisfied with the features provided for small and medium businesses,
and have implemented several *customizations* tailored to our business
needs.

We are writing to seek *guidance* on the process of *upgrading* our
*customized* version from the Apache OFBiz version 16 to the latest
version. We want to ensure a smooth transition without losing the data,
custom configurations and features that we have implemented in our current
environment.

Thank you for your time and support. We look forward to hearing from you
soon.

Best regards,

Hi Vivek,

Your message has been moderated, else it would not have reached this Mailing List.

Please subscribe to the *user ML* for such questions and then use your email client.
See why here http://ofbiz.apache.org/mailing-lists.html.

You will get a better support, people can answer you on the ML.
The wider the audience the better the answers you might get.

Also it's more work for moderators who have to accept your messages as long as you have not subscribed.
I'll personally no longer accept them (other moderators still could).

TIA

This said, OFBiz is now mature. So with the transition from 16 to 18 you should not cross an impossible situation, notably with your data.
You can refer to https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OFBIZ/Revisions+Requiring+Data+Migration+-+upgrade+ofbiz about data migration if needed.
Of course this entails that you have not done (much) core (OOTB) code changes and has used plugins to put in your specific code.

HTH

Jacques
