RecoveredXATransaction hanging around in activeMQ 5.9.0

Hi,

can anyone advise how to deal with 'RecoveredXATransactions' - using ActiveMQ 5.9.0

I am seeing 18 RecoveredXATransactions for activeMQ broker listed in the Hawtio console

When I click on one I get the following error :

Failed to query available operations: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException : Invalid object name 'org.apache.activemq:type=Broker,brokerName=griskMsgi.broker1,transactionType=RecoveredXaTransaction,Xid=XID_%5B131075_globalId&312d613665646566373a643265383a35333639373935383a38613965373562_branchId&613665646566373a643265383a35333639373935383a38613965373634%5D': Instance not found

I also see lots of these warning in the broker logs on startup :

20140612 14:33:38.265 WARN [Starting ActiveMQ Broker] MessageDatabase.recover(): Recovered prepared XA TX: [XID:[131075,globalId=312d613665646566373a643265383a35333639373935383a34363233396134,branchId=613665646566373a643265383a35333639373935383a34363233396137]]
20140612 14:33:38.266 WARN [Starting ActiveMQ Broker] MessageDatabase.recover(): Recovered prepared XA TX: [XID:[131075,globalId=312d613665646566373a643265383a35333639373935383a38613965373562,branchId=613665646566373a643265383a35333639373935383a38613965373634]]

Has anyone come across this sort of issue ?

Regards
Alwyn

Posted by Gary Tully <ga...@gmail.com>.
those a transactions pending completion by an XA transaction coordinator.
You should be able to view them with jconsole. there are operations to
force completion. But ideally the transaction coordinator should be
actively trying to deliver the outcome.

They occur if the a transaction is prepared but not yet committed or
rolledback.
Please raise an issue against hawtio[1], there seems to be a problem with
the url encoding of the objectname.
