Seqdirectory not generating seqfiles

I am trying to run the reuters dataset example from Mahout in action for
kmeans clustering. However upon running *seqdirectory*, reuters-seqfiles
file is not getting populated. It's size remains zero.

And I guess this might be leading to index out of bound error when I run
kmeans reuters example.

Am I going wrong somewhere?
