Tabs or spaces?
Folks,
What are the code formatting preferences for Synapse? At least are we
meant to use tabs or spaces for indentation?

I registered but I don't have the permission to edit/add pages in the
Synapse space of the CWIKI (I would like to use it for the JMS
transport specs/requirements). Does somebody have admin rights?

Yep, 4 spaces.. a long time ago I tried to document some guidelines for
Synapse coding conventions [1], and it basically meant the Sun
conventions with a line length of 100.. maybe we should update that and
move it to our own Wiki space now that we are a TLP

We use spaces. The reminds me that some time ago I asked on this list
whether there is a code formatting template for Eclipse implementing
the rules applicable to Synapse (or more generally to Apache
projects). Anybody aware of the existence of this kind of things?

Hi Oleg,
I think we need to put a coding standards guide for synapse. For the moment
we are using 4 spaces for indentation (I guess you can configure the tab to
be 4 spaces on the IDE)
