please help--startup fails on SunOs
hi, i'm trying to startup tomcat 3.1 on SunOS using JDK 1.2.2 and i get the
following error.
this looks like a classpath problem but i verified what classpath the
tomcat.sh is setting and when i add it to my own shell i successfuly verify
that it's in the classpath by doing the command javap -p
com.sun.xml.parser.Parser. so i'm like totally confused about what's
happening.
we've put it in /usr/local/apache/jakarta-tomcat and that's what the
TOMCAT_HOME is set to.
what am i doing wrong? thanks for any advice, ...Christopher Shade

Posted by Dan Kirkpatrick <da...@xxi.com>.
Add Sun's jar file for their XML parser to Tomcat's classpath. To do this,
you can simply copy the .jar file into the WEB-INF/lib directory in your web
application, or you can add it to your classpath inside Tomcat's startup
script.
