(Marmotta - 587)KiWi support for Crate DB

Hello Sergio Fernández,
I am an Information Technology student at University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka
and I'm currently studying as a second year student. Up to now I worked
with MySQL and other programming languages like C, Java, JavaScript, php. I
am willing to contribute to the Google Summer of Code project KiWi support
for Crate DB.
After i looking at the project, i cloned the source from git[1]. I would
like to know whether i'm using right repository or not. And i already built
the package according to the instructions in[2] and ran it with tests. but
2 tests keep failing : BlobEnvironmentTest, testValidateNotCreatable.
And can I please have some more information about what should i have to do
during gsoc period on this project?

Thank You!

Hello Sergio Fernández,
Past few days I was looking at the source base. Mainly about loader package
and platform package which contain different implementations for different
backend database management systems. I would like to know whether I'm
having the right approach or not?
And also i would like to know whether i have to get familiar with all the
RDF handling and SPARQL classes and methods in the source base or not?
Thank you.

Hi Nilupul,

sorry, but issues regarding the codebase of CrateDB you should adress to
the CrateDB Team [1].

You could start looking into the codebase of Marmotta/KiWi [2] and make
yourself familiar with the integration of a Marmotta backend. Start the
current implementations we have for postgres, mysql and h2.

Best,
Jakob
