[jira] [Created] (PROTON-2053) [Python] [C++] The Python and C++ bindings have different defaults for SASL

Andrew Stitcher created PROTON-2053:
---------------------------------------

Summary: [Python] [C++] The Python and C++ bindings have different defaults for SASL
                 Key: PROTON-2053
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/PROTON-2053
             Project: Qpid Proton
          Issue Type: Task
          Components: cpp-binding, python-binding
            Reporter: Andrew Stitcher

By default the Python binding has SASL enabled. By default the C++ binding has SASL disabled - it will be enabled if the connection has a username or specifies a SASL mechanism though.

For consistency we should ensure that the APIs have the same default - in this case probably of enabling SASL by default.
