https://gerrit.cloudera.org/#/c/11435/ revealed that a patch can pass pre-merge testing but fail on S3 or HDFS with erasure coding. We should have fake versions of filesystems like these (and ADLS) that run during pre-merge testing in order to find these type of failures earlier.
