[jira] [Created] (ZEPPELIN-5748) ZEPPELIN_USERNAME_FORCE_LOWERCASE does not apply to existing notes when activated later.

Philipp Dallig created ZEPPELIN-5748:
----------------------------------------

Summary: ZEPPELIN_USERNAME_FORCE_LOWERCASE does not apply to existing notes when activated later.
                 Key: ZEPPELIN-5748
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ZEPPELIN-5748
             Project: Zeppelin
          Issue Type: Bug
    Affects Versions: 0.10.1
            Reporter: Philipp Dallig

A Zeppelin user brought to my attention the issue that he is not seeing all the notes. Depending on how he logs in, he sees different notes. We could trace it back to the login name, which was sometimes done with capital letters and sometimes with small letters.

After enabling the ZEPPELIN_USERNAME_FORCE_LOWERCASE configuration, we were able to fix the problem for future notes, but not for existing notes which were already saved.

ZEPPELIN_USERNAME_FORCE_LOWERCASE should also work for existing notes.
