Clarification on an Old Issue

I am using JBOSS which uses log4j as its server logging mechanism.  My
application uses log4j with a different configuration file.  I specify
different file and console appenders but when I run my app I get the looping
error in the server output log.  I searched the faqs in advance but didn't
find anything that clearly detailed what is happening.

 

Is this a configuration issue?  If so, how can I define a separate logging
configuration file for my application that doesn't interfere with the server
application logging used by JBOSS?
