[jira] [Created] (SQOOP-410) Direct modes can't import views

Direct modes can't import views
-------------------------------

                 Key: SQOOP-410
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SQOOP-410
             Project: Sqoop
          Issue Type: Bug
          Components: connectors/mysql, connectors/postgresql
            Reporter: Lars Francke

MySQL and PostgreSQL don't export views in direct modes. MySQL just silently ignores any views when running mysqldump and Postgres gives an error message.

There's probably no easy way to detect if something is a view but this should at least go into the documentation I suppose.
