PROPOSAL: New Committer
In accordance with the project guidelines as described on the Jakarta
web site (http://jakarta.apache.org), I hereby propose that Sam Ruby
<ru...@us.ibm.com> be granted Committer status in the Jakarta Project.
Committers are those developers who are allowed to check in patches and
enhancements in the CVS archives of the project.
Sam's particular interest is in integrating Java with scripting
languages, which is extremely germane to the Jakarta project's goals.
In addition, he has the sort of energy and persistence that will help us
all move forward more quickly. Sam has already proposed several
patches, some of which took a very diligent amount of debugging to
uncover.
Please vote on this proposal in accordance with the project guidelines
-- existing committers, cast your votes!
(It should be obvious, but this proposal consititues my +1 on the
proposal).
