[Bug 60951] New: ab should not care about response length by default

https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=60951

            Bug ID: 60951
Summary: ab should not care about response length by default
           Product: Apache httpd-2
           Version: 2.5-HEAD
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Mac OS X 10.1
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: All
          Assignee: bugs@httpd.apache.org
          Reporter: j@jjb.cc
  Target Milestone: ---

Hi,

I think -l should be default on ab.

Many apps are dynamic and will show as having "failures" when they do not.

If a developer cares a lot about responses being identical, then they will want
to look at etags or do their own hashing/diffing. Body length is a clumsy and
imprecise way to achieve this.

Thanks for listening,
John
