Upgrade to 1.0 small problem

I'm trying to upgrade to 1.0 from 0.9.8.  The problem I'm having is that
I;m on Oracle 8i, and the OJB_DMAP_ENTRIES table is trying to make 2
LONG RAW types in a single table which Oracle doesn't allow.  Any
advice?
