> In 0.21, hadoop-layout.sh was introduced to allow for vendors to reorganize the Hadoop distribution in a way that pleases them. DEFAULT_YARN_APPLICATION_CLASSPATH hard-codes the paths that hadoop-layout.sh was meant to override.
