[jira] [Commented] (CB-7255) prepare writes plist unescaped

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-7255?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14083675#comment-14083675 ]

Ulrich Geilmann commented on CB-7255:
-------------------------------------

After some digging I think we are hitting https://github.com/TooTallNate/plist.js/issues/40 which is still unfixed in plist-with-patches npm.
Moving back to plist should fix the issue. I understand the reason for switching to plist-with-patches in the first place was the huge footprint in node_modules, which is drastically smaller in the current version (though still way larger than plist-with-patches' footprint)

> When the iOS-project's plist is updated during prepare, data is written out unescaped.
> The consequence is a failing build when the plist contains the (properly escaped) characters &<>.
