Preserve XML content in log messages when using XMLLayout and XMLSocketReceiver
Summary: Preserve XML content in log messages when using
XMLLayout and XMLSocketReceiver
Product: Log4j
Version: 1.3alpha
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Windows NT/2K
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: Other
Component: chainsaw
AssignedTo: log4j-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: apache@asgeirnilsen.com
Hello,
We use XMLLayout and XMLSocketReceiver for displaying logging events in Chainsaw
1.99.99.
However, logging events containing XML documents come up quite unreadable, as
all < characters are removed from the output.
I would expect that the events arrive in Chainsaw correctly, as CDATA tags are
enclosed around the <log4j:message> elements.
