After plugins correctly installing for weeks, adding new plugins is suddenly failing with the following:

alex@alex ~/P/e/tracking> cordova plugin add cordova-plugin-firebase
Error: Failed to fetch plugin cordova-plugin-firebase via registry.
Probably this is either a connection problem, or plugin spec is incorrect.
Check your connection and plugin name/version/URL.

It keeps trying to find /file:tools/ inside the root of my project. It doesn't matter which plugin I try to install
