[jira] [Created] (INFRA-11739) Question: migrating code from GitHub
Chris Riccomini created INFRA-11739:
---------------------------------------
Summary: Question: migrating code from GitHub
Key: INFRA-11739
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-11739
Project: Infrastructure
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Github
Reporter: Chris Riccomini
We are looking at migrating code form GitHub to Apache. Is it possible to do this migration in such a way that we preserve our starts/forks/watches on the repo? We have > 200 watches, > 500 forks, and > 2500 stars. This gives the project some street-cred that we don't want to lose.
I reached out to the AirBNB repository owner ([~maxime.beauchemin@apache.org]), and he said he's unable to grant root@ admin access to his company's repos. Is there another way?
I spoke briefly with [~pono], and he mentioned asking [~humbedooh] about this.
