MailStoreRepository

Hi Guys,

i just start to port the Maildir support from contribution of alex to
the current trunk.. I just wonder how the user is passed the Store.. I
don't understand it. Anyone can explain it a bit more. I had a look to
the MboxRepository but its still not clear for me.

thx

I don't understand the question.

BTW, there is no User=>Repository dependency: you don't need an user to
store messages in a repository and read them back.
By default repositories are named with the same name of the users that
will read that repository.

the method getUserInbox retrieve the correct repository given the username.

Look at the assembly.xml to understand the dependencies between components.

POP3Server ask getUserInbox to the MailServer passed: MailServer is a
service that is implemented by James component (assembly.xml): E.g, you
can create a new MailServer component implementing it and pass it to
POP3Server instead of using the James component.

LocalDelivery uses the ToMultiRepository that defaults to
MailServer.getUserInbox (this time the MailServer service that is
hardcoded added to the mailet context by James) if no usersrepository
url is given: so you could specify a different "repository group" for
tomultirepository.

It is not so difficult, but it is very modular and based on a not so
popular/not so documented framework, so the learning curve is steep.

I will have a look..

So im right that the getUserInbox from James class get the right Mbox
for the User on delivery and retrieve? Is this not only a default ?
Sorry for asking such question .. but james is very complex when
starting with add some code on it.

So your right with the reason why only a few commiters there :-)

bye
