The apache sling project is building a debian package which is (or at least should be) being copied as part of the release, but it's not showing up in the release area presented by nexus:
https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/snapshots/org/apache/sling/sling-server/8-SNAPSHOT/

The reason being that the apache nexus instance is not running with the apt plugin:

Could the apt plugin be installed on the apache nexus instance so that the released sling-server_*.deb package is available for direct download?
