Pb with Coccon 1.8.2 and blocks page

Hello,

I was wondering if anybody out there has used Cocoon 1.8.x has
experienced the following type of situation. It appears that up to n
page locks are created (the same page is requested in a number of
cases), then Cocoon processing stops.  All current browser requests
all time out, and no new requests can be processed. To get things
going tomcat needs to be restarted (so cocoon is reloaded).

This occurs intermittently (i.e not reproducible on demand).

FYI, we are using a home-grown 'Producer'.
