There are a few backward compatibility issues to be aware of:
- HelixAdmin APIs should still work
- HelixManager APIs should still work
- model package classes should not have any changed or deleted functions
- existing and new tests should all pass
There is a question of whether or not we should support the old Rebalancer interface that still needs to be resolved.
